SOLAR EXPLORATION

Workshops for children 6-13 years of age are provided focusing on their futures, the long-term impact of environmental awareness, and their connection to other young people around the world whose communities also use solar.

Using sponsor provided technology, which opens the door for bright young minds to learn about the power and potential of clean energy, we teach hands-on how to apply scientific concepts in real life all while building a solar light. The classroom keeps the kits and curriculum to be able to use for future classes. Each participating student receives a small solar light from one of our partners to take home, needing only sunlight to stay charged.

Solar Portraits from around the world are shown to the class to demonstrate the uniqueness of each place, but also the universal similarities. Celebrating the differences that make each culture unique, and the global network of solar users their community is a part of.
