Kogi Colombia SP 02

from $450.00

A member of Colombia's indigenous Kogi community steps out of La Casa Maria, a meeting space for men only where on this evening the Cualama ceremony takes place. Cualama is a 10-day ritual which happens in April and June that pays honor to Aluna (mother nature) and the change in season, and asks for abundant rains and a good harvest. This Kogi village is made up of fifty-five homes within the La Guajira region, and all have solar panels as they are too remote to have grid access.
